Truck and Trailer Mechanic in Owensboro, Kentucky at Ascend Equipment LLC

Ascend Equipment Company is seeking a skilled and experienced Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team. Candidate must have Class 8 truck experience, along with experience with hydraulics, trailers, and Cummins engines. As a Truck and Trailer Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing trucks and trailers to ensure they are in safe and working condition.

Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance on trucks and trailers, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections

- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on trucks and trailers

- Conduct inspections to identify any potential issues and make necessary repairs

- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed

- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding maintenance and repair needs

- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies

- Some travel will be required.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Completion of a vocational or technical program in diesel mechanics or related field

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Truck and Trailer Mechanic

- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and electrical systems

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
