Role Overview:
We are seeking an IT Specialist to join the team to support the growing demands of our technical and administrative infrastructure, with a specific focus on cybersecurity compliance. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our internal systems while leading the effort to reach and maintain DoD CMMC Level 2 requirements. The successful candidate will manage core IT functions, maintain critical tools, and ensure our security posture meets federal standards for protecting sensitive data. This position is a full-time, 100% in-office role based out of St. Louis, MO.
Key Responsibilities:
CMMC Compliance: Lead the implementation and documentation of security controls required to meet and maintain DoD CMMC Level 2 standards.
System Administration: Manage the setup, configuration, and inventory of company laptops and workstations.
Infrastructure Support: Provide support and maintenance for internal server infrastructure and network security.
Identity & Access Management: Administer user access and permissions across various systems to ensure strict "least privilege" protocols.
Tool Administration: Serve as an administrator for collaborative and operational tools such as Jira, Confluence, and the Odoo ERP system.
Lifecycle Support: Address and resolve IT-related issues organization-wide, providing comprehensive support throughout the technology lifecycle.
SaaS Management: Assist with tracking and managing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) expenditures and security audits.
Innovation: Stay abreast of technological advancements and recommend potential applications to enhance our internal operations and security.
Team Dynamics:
Work within a dynamic team environment, supporting colleagues across multidisciplinary engineering and operations teams.

About You:
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in IT support, system administration, or cybersecurity.
Experience with the implementation of NIST 800-171 or CMMC security frameworks.
Proficiency in managing user accounts, access controls, and hardware inventory.
Willingness to expand into technical areas beyond your area of expertise.
Fluent in both written and verbal English.
U.S. Person (immigration or work visa sponsorship will not be provided).
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Direct experience preparing an organization for a CMMC Level 2 assessment.
Experience administering Jira, Confluence, or Odoo ERP systems.
Experience with cloud productivity suites (Google Workspace or Microsoft 365) in a compliant environment.
Knowledge of networking fundamentals and hardware firewalls.
Experience in a startup or fast-paced technology environment.
Typical Education and Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
Relocation:
This position does not offer relocation. Candidate must live in the St. Louis area, or be willing to relocate at their own expense.
