What will you do as an Scheduling Coordinator II?
· Schedule appointments and perform patient checkin/checkout
· Maintain smooth frontdesk flow and deliver excellent customer service
· Manage EMR tasks including scanning, preloading, and documentation of messages
· Complete prior authorizations, referrals (internal and external), and followup on labs and imaging
· Prepare encounters, gather records, handle mail, and reconcile cash at days end
· Process noshow letters, disability paperwork, and workers compensation documentation
· Screen patients and visitors for COVID symptoms
· Ensure accurate patient registration, insurance verification, and demographic updates
· Support clinical staff and assist with practice quality measures
· Train staff, crosstrain across programs, and take on assigned special duties
· Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and strong communication across all interactions
What do you need to be an Scheduling Coordinator II?
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Minimum 2 years office experience; healthcare office experience preferred
- Associate’s degree in a healthcare discipline with 3–5 years of experience (preferred)
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work with confidential information
- Proficiency with computer software and EMR systems
- Ability to adapt, float to other practices, and adjust work hours when needed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The position is located indoors under normal working conditions. Should be able to push/pull 25 lbs., lift/move 15 lbs. from floor to table, be able to perform moderately difficult manual manipulations such as using a keyboard, writing and filing for extended periods of time, must be able to perform tasks which require hand-eye coordination such as data entry, typing and using photocopiers. Mobility requirements may include the ability to sit at a computer terminal or work station for a prolonged period of time in addition to being able to squat, stand and walk for a reasonable length of time and distance.

Salary Range: $17.46-$25.32/hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
