About This Position
Housekeeping Staff
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Staff member to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our building spaces, ensuring a pleasant and hygienic environment for both customers and staff.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
- Ensure all areas, including sales floors, common areas, restrooms, and stockrooms, are clean and tidy.
- Replenish supplies in restrooms, such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
- Handle the disposal of trash and recycling materials.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the management team.
- Assist in setting up events or rearranging furniture as needed.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Proven experience in housekeeping or a similar role.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in providing a clean environment.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, positive attitude.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items, including housekeeping carts, cleaning supplies, and furniture, weighing up to [specify weight, e.g., 50 pounds]
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility
Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks with precision and efficiency
Manual dexterity, good vision and hand-eye coordination for using cleaning tools and equipment
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach to clean various surfaces and areas
Strong physical stamina to handle the demands of a fast-paced work environment
Ability to work in various conditions, including exposure to cleaning chemicals and dusty environments
