About the role
Insight Xcite is seeking a Systems Engineer to support mission-critical enterprise and operational environments within the Intelligence Community. This role involves designing, integrating, securing, and maintaining complex infrastructure and systems supporting high-priority customer missions. The ideal candidate is technically versatile, collaborative, and experienced working in fast-paced, high-security environments. Compensation is determined based on experience, technical expertise, certifications, mission requirements, and overall alignment with customer and contract needs.
What you'll do
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise systems and infrastructure
- Support cloud modernization and infrastructure integration initiatives
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and operational issues
- Manage and support Linux and Windows environments
- Support virtualization, automation, and systems lifecycle activities
- Collaborate with engineering and operational teams across secure environments
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and system configurations
- Ensure systems comply with security and operational requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP)
- Minimum 6 years of systems engineering, infrastructure, or enterprise support experience
- Experience supporting enterprise or mission environments
- Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows systems administration
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware
- Experience with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure
- Understanding of networking, security, and enterprise infrastructure principles
- Experience with scripting or automation tools
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Intelligence Community customers
- Experience with infrastructure modernization initiatives
- Familiarity with Cisco voice or collaboration technologies
- Experience with automation and orchestration tools
- DevOps or CI/CD experience
- Relevant technical certifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
The pay range for this role is:
175,000 - 220,000 USD per year(Government Client Site – Chantilly VA)
175,000 - 220,000 USD per year(Government Client Site – Herndon VA)
