Job Description

MAJOR DUTIES:

The Recruiting and Training and Development Specialist will create, develop, implement, and conduct training and development programs for employees. Develop and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Completed 90-day orientation.
  • Conduct the career development and internal recruiting efforts within the organization.
  • Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives.
  • Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees and customers.
  • Develops unique training programs to fulfill workers’ specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
  • Creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
  • Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats, including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
  • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
  • Assess training materials and update/maintain as necessary.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
  • Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
  • Prepares and implements training budget; maintains records and reports of expenses.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related programs software.
  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify open positions.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
  • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
  • Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Assists with the interview process.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

MINIMUM

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience in personnel management.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds.
  • Ability to handle physical aspects of the job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods.
  • Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company.
  • Demonstrate willingness to accept supervision.
  • A negative TB screening dated before the employee providing services for all employees/agents, including administrative and clerical staff.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate adequately to:

- Complete required forms; and

- Follow oral or written instructions

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must meet all agency requirements for pre-employment as required by Arrow and/or State regulations.
  • Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company.
  • Must be available Monday–Friday during office hours.
  • Must be able to successfully fulfill the job responsibilities listed above.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must become certified as a First Aid/CPR Instructor
  • Must meet all agency requirements for pre-employment as required by Arrow and/or state regulations.

Monday-Friday 9 am-5 pm
