Job Description
MAJOR DUTIES:
The Recruiting and Training and Development Specialist will create, develop, implement, and conduct training and development programs for employees. Develop and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completed 90-day orientation.
- Conduct the career development and internal recruiting efforts within the organization.
- Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives.
- Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees and customers.
- Develops unique training programs to fulfill workers’ specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
- Creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
- Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats, including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
- Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
- Assess training materials and update/maintain as necessary.
- Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
- Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
- Prepares and implements training budget; maintains records and reports of expenses.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
- Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related programs software.
- Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
- Collaborates with department managers to identify open positions.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
- Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
- Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Assists with the interview process.
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
MINIMUM
- High school diploma/GED
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience in personnel management.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds.
- Ability to handle physical aspects of the job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods.
- Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company.
- Demonstrate willingness to accept supervision.
- A negative TB screening dated before the employee providing services for all employees/agents, including administrative and clerical staff.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate adequately to:
- Complete required forms; and
- Follow oral or written instructions
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must meet all agency requirements for pre-employment as required by Arrow and/or State regulations.
- Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company.
- Must be available Monday–Friday during office hours.
- Must be able to successfully fulfill the job responsibilities listed above.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must become certified as a First Aid/CPR Instructor
- Must meet all agency requirements for pre-employment as required by Arrow and/or state regulations.
REPORTS TO: Employee Relations Specialist/HR
Monday-Friday 9 am-5 pm
