Role Summary
The Pre-Sales Solution Architect partners with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to design and present StackGen’s Agentic Infrastructure & Autonomous Platform for enterprise customers across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
The role combines hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure and DevOps with strong communication skills to demonstrate how StackGen’s AI-driven platform automates provisioning, governance, observability, and incident remediation across the full infrastructure lifecycle, aligned with SRE and platform engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities- Lead technical discovery with prospects to assess DevOps, platform engineering, SRE workflows, IaC usage, and governance requirements, mapping them to StackGen capabilities.
- Design target-state architectures using StackGen’s AI agents and IaC management to automate provisioning, policy enforcement, drift management, incident remediation, and cost optimization.
- Build and deliver tailored demos and PoCs showcasing “intent-to-infrastructure” workflows, autonomy levels (Copilot → Autopilot), and integrations with CI/CD and observability stacks.
- Develop and present technical value narratives and business cases quantifying ROI (e.g., reduced manual effort, faster deployments, fewer incidents, improved developer productivity).
- Own the technical win in complex deals: RFP/RFI responses, architecture validation, and security/compliance alignment (CIS, NIST, FedRAMP, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with Product to provide feedback on customer needs, influencing roadmap and platform evolution.
- Partner with Customer Success and Delivery teams to ensure smooth handoff, including architecture documentation and success metrics definition.
- 7+ years in Solution Architecture, Pre-Sales Engineering, or Technical Consulting within cloud, DevOps, or platform engineering environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Helm) in production environments.
- Proven track record leading PoCs, technical evaluations, and workshops for complex B2B infrastructure platforms.
- Experience working with platform engineering, SRE, DevOps, and security teams in enterprise environments.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD, GitOps, observability stacks, and modern DevOps toolchains.
- Expertise in designing cloud architectures focused on automation, security, reliability, and cost optimization.
- Ability to communicate complex AI-driven infrastructure concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong presentation, whiteboarding, and storytelling skills; comfortable engaging with C-level and senior engineering leaders.
- Experience building demo environments and prototypes integrating with customer ecosystems.
- Nice to have:
- Experience with compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, FedRAMP, HIPAA)
- Exposure to observability/OSS stacks
- Familiarity with AI/ML-driven platforms or agent-based systems
- High technical win rates through clear differentiation of StackGen’s agentic infrastructure vs traditional IaC tools.
- Shortened sales cycles via efficient, outcome-driven evaluations and fast time-to-value.
- Trusted advisor status with customers and strong internal advocacy for customer needs.
- Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Background as Sales Engineer, Technical Sales, or similar role in enterprise software, SaaS, or systems integration.
- Experience as an implementation consultant for cloud, DevOps, or AI solutions.
