Director of Product Design - REMOTE
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director of Product Design. This role will be pivotal in leading the design strategy as we evolve our product offerings into a unified English Language Development platform. As a strategic partner on the R&D Leadership team, you will ensure that design is not just about aesthetics but about creating impactful user experiences. You will guide a team of talented designers and work collaboratively across functions to connect various tools and workflows to enhance classroom outcomes. This position is essential to driving our mission and has the potential to make a significant difference in the lives of educators and students alike.
Accountabilities- Lead the Product Design team to ensure alignment with business objectives and design excellence.
- Develop and implement design strategies that foster integration and consistency across product domains.
- Collaborate with R&D leadership to shape product direction and resource allocation.
- Mentor and grow talent within the design team while maintaining high standards of craft.
- Engage with users and stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on design solutions.
- 8+ years of experience managing Product Designers with a proven record of building and leading teams.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate design concepts to non-design audiences.
- Strong ability to provide constructive feedback and raise the standards of work.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on action, iteration, and experimentation.
- Familiarity with AI tools and their application in design workflows.
