The Schedule (Please Read)
- Afternoon Shift: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- All Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Availability: Applicants must be flexible to work any shift and have full weekend availability to be considered for this position.
What You Will Do
- Create: Prepare vibrant, home-cooked meals using local products for our staff and residents.
- Execute: Handle all menu items and recipes with a focus on timing, quality, portion control, and presentation.
- Safety & Science: Maintain thorough knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and temperature requirements (thawing, preparing, and storing).
- Sanitize: Maintain a "clean as you go" mentality, keeping your workstation organized and adhering to the kitchen cleaning schedule.
- Accommodate: Prepare modified or therapeutic diets to meet the specific allergy and dietary needs of our residents.
Requirements
- Technical Mastery: Proficiency in techniques including braising, stewing, baking, roasting, grilling, and sautéing.
- Culinary Skills: Strong skills in pastry, frying, butchering, stock making, and bread baking.
- Precision: Expert knife skills (dicing, chopping, julienne) and the knowledge to keep your equipment sharp.
- Work Ethic: A commitment to leaving the kitchen better than you found it and the ability to perform all essential functions satisfactorily.
Pay Range (Compensation)
$18.00/hour to $26.00/hour
