Position summary
As a Credentialing Specialist, youll provide essential support to our senior management team, handling everything from complex scheduling to client communications. This role requires strong organizational skills, familiarity with CRM systems, and the ability to prioritize effectively.
Youll be the go-to person for ensuring operations flow seamlessly while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Occasionally, you may assist with monitoring corporate social media accounts or managing the companys online presence. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and a basic understanding of financial concepts are highly desirable.
Key responsibilities
- Managing Fees and Payments: Ensuring that the healthcare provider or organization pays all necessary fees associated with the credentialing process, such as application fees, re-credentialing fees, and any other costs related to the process.
- Liaising with Insurance Networks: Handling the administrative tasks of setting up contracts with insurance companies and ensuring that the providers are credentialed and reimbursed appropriately for services rendered.
- Document Preparation and Review: UsCoordinating the submission of required documentation for credentialing, including educational certificates, licenses, malpractice insurance, and work history, to meet compliance requirements.
- Tracking Credentialing Status: Monitoring the status of credentialing applications, making sure the process is progressing, and following up to ensure that the healthcare provider is listed on insurance panels.
- Confidentiality and integrity: Handle sensitive information with discretion and the utmost professionalism.

Negotiations, and starting new applications with insurance
Following up on pending fee schedules and insurance

- Familiarity with social media platforms or managing online presence.
