About This Position
The Repair Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and systems at customer or company sites. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service to ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Service Duties
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, or electronic equipment and systems
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions using manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools
- Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
- Test equipment after service to ensure proper operation
- Calibrate and adjust systems to meet performance standards
Customer & Communication
- Provide professional, courteous service to customers and internal teams
- Explain technical issues and solutions clearly to non-technical users
- Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies
- Maintain strong external customer relationships and internal communication
Documentation & Reporting
- Complete service reports, work orders, and maintenance logs accurately
- Document parts used, labor hours, and service outcomes
- Report recurring issues, safety concerns, or improvement opportunities
Safety & Compliance
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S or similar systems)
- Properly handle tools, equipment, and hazardous materials
Inventory & Tools
- Maintain service tools, testing equipment, and vehicles in good condition
- Identify and request replacement parts as needed
- Manage spare parts inventory responsibly
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Good problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry equipment
- Willingness to travel locally or internationally, as required
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call shifts
Business Hours:
M-F 8:00am - 5:00pm
