Welcome Home to Baxter Health’s 31-bed Cardiac Step-Down Unit, we are a family of highly-skilled caregivers, who provide optimal care to a diverse patient population. Our patient’s conditions range from low acuity to critically ill. We work together to treat individuals with cardiac acuities such as arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, and myocardial infarction. Our patient population also includes those with respiratory emergencies requiring Bi-PAP, aggressive pulmonary physiotherapy, and high-level monitoring. In addition, we also interface with patients facing a multitude of acute and chronic disease processes. The 4 South Step Down Team is excited and ready to welcome you to our family!

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care for assigned patients on the nursing unit and providing leadership within the nursing team.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served, through the model of Shared Governance.
• Collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidence based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. ADN required. BSN Preferred.
• Licensure: Current Arkansas or Compact State RN License in good standing.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience preferred.
• BLS & ACLS required. PALS is encouraged, but not required.
• Other: Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Basic computer knowledge required.
