About This Position
What You’ll Be Doing
A Loan Operations Specialist is responsible for a wide variety of bank wide loan functions. Requires an in-depth knowledge of the core banking system and daily operational processes especially boarding new loans and completing maintenance requests. This person will provide friendly, quality client service and treat both internal and external clients with respect and dignity, either in person or on the phone.
- Boarding and disbursing of funds for new loans into Bank’s core system.
- Complete loan maintenance request on Bank’s core system.
- May switch between boarding/maintenance and checkback duties.
- Verifies and examines loan documents for accuracy and completion prior to boarding or maintenance.
- Maintains basic compliance knowledge to onboard and perform maintenance on properly executed loan documents.
- Reviews periodic loan reports as needed to ensure activities remain in balance.
- Demonstrates strong commitment to meeting or exceeding the needs of internal clients and/or vendors.
Loan Operations Specialists are generally scheduled to work between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, hours can be flexible depending on need. Internal candidates located in one of our branch locations may be considered.
Requirements:Skills/Experience You’ll Need
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a financial institution and/or loan operations role.

- Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail, be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, possess strong communication and conflict aversion skills, and exhibit critical thinking and exemplary judgement and decision-making skills as well as provide friendly client service to both internal and external clients.
