Human Resources Coordinator (Full-Time)

Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and Live Nation producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater. COTALAND is an amusement park with over 30 attractions and experiences, including first-of-their-kind roller coasters.

Job Description:

The Human Resources Coordinator plays a hands-on role across the full scope of HR operations for Circuit of the Americas and COTALAND. This position supports the team member lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through training coordination and ongoing HR support. As one of the first points of contact for new and returning team members, this role directly shapes the experience people have with HR and with COTA as an organization.

Requirements:

Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Partner with HR team and hiring managers to support full-cycle recruiting activities including job postings, application review, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
  • Serve as a point of contact for applicants and new hires, maintaining consistent communication throughout the hiring and onboarding process.
  • Participate in job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach efforts.
  • Support new hire processing including offer letters, background checks, paperwork, I-9 verification, and system setup.
  • Coordinate and support new hire orientation to ensure a smooth, organized first experience.
  • Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and materials for training programs; track certifications and completion across the organization.
  • Support facilitation of training sessions and deliver light presentations as needed
  • Maintain accurate employee records, files, and HR documentation.
  • Provide administrative support across HR functions including projects, audits, reporting, communications, and team member engagement activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of experience in Human Resources, administrative support, or a related coordination role.
  • Genuinely driven by service and collaboration.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort learning new HR systems and software.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with HRIS/ATS platforms (Paylocity experience a plus).
  • Previous experience in attractions, hospitality, entertainment, or a high-volume seasonal environment.
  • Comfort with public speaking and group facilitation.

  • Ability to stand, sit, use of hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to squat, bend, twist, push/pull.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
  • Work in extreme environments outdoors, at times, throughout the year.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud during events.
