Overview
We are seeking an EXPERIENCED MEDICAL ASSISTANT to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various medical settings, including outpatient clinics and urgent care environments. This role requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care while supporting the medical staff in delivering high-quality services.

Duties

Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.Perform intake assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting patient history.Administer medications as directed and assist with basic life support when necessary.Utilize EHR systems for accurate patient documentation and coding, including ICD coding.Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.Support various departments such as dermatology, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and geriatrics as needed.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including Level I and Level II trauma centers.Assist in X-ray procedures and other diagnostic tests as required.Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in clinical settings such as hospitals or outpatient clinics.Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding.Familiarity with EHR systems for effective patient management.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; additional certifications in relevant specialties are a plus (e.g., urgent care, dermatology).Ability to perform intake procedures efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient service.Experience with medication administration and knowledge of vital sign assessment techniques.Previous exposure to various medical fields such as PICU, OR experience, medical-surgical units, or hospital medicine is preferred.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.A commitment to providing compassionate care to all patients across diverse populations.
