About This Position
Objective: The Director of Cash Management is responsible for the strategic leadership, growth, and execution of the bank’s cash management and treasury services offerings. This role ensures that commercial and business clients receive best-in-class solutions that optimize liquidity, streamline payments, mitigate fraud risk, and deepen primary banking relationships.
The Director serves as the subject-matter expert for cash management products, partners closely with Commercial Lenders and Relationship Managers, and leads a high-performing Cash Management team aligned with the bank’s values, strategic plan, and EOS operating system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Management Responsibilities (LMA):
Lead
- Communicate a clear vision and direction for Cash Management aligned with the bank’s Core Values, Core Focus, and long-term strategy.
- Model the bank’s values and leadership behaviors while building strong cross-functional relationships and reducing silos.
Manage
- Set clear priorities, goals, and key measurables; lead effective L10 meetings with rocks, scorecards, and documented processes.
- Identify, document, improve, and proactively solve process and performance issues
Accountability
- Own results across growth, profitability, client satisfaction, and operational performance.
- Ensure the right people are in the right seats, address performance issues promptly, and lead with transparency, data, and personal ownership.
Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute the bank’s cash management strategy to support deposit growth, fee income, and relationship deepening.
- Identify opportunities to expand treasury services offerings based on market demand, client needs, and competitive analysis.
- Partner with Commercial Banking leadership to align cash management solutions with lending and relationship strategies.
Client Experience & Sales Support
- Serve as senior escalation point for complex cash management relationships and implementations.
- Support commercial calling efforts through joint client meetings, solution design, and pricing recommendations.
- Ensure consistent delivery of a proactive, responsive, and consultative client experience.
Governance:
- Create, maintain, & enhance policy, process and procedures and conduct required risk assessments, reviews and audits to support cash management sales and operations.
Product & Operations Oversight
- Oversee the implementation, administration, and optimization of cash management products including ACH, wires, remote deposit capture, online treasury platforms, and fraud mitigation tools.
- Ensure products and processes comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and sound risk management practices.
- Collaborate with Operations, IT, Compliance, and vendors to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
Financial & Risk Management
- Own cash management pricing, profitability monitoring, and performance reporting.
- Proactively identify operational, fraud, and compliance risks and ensure appropriate controls are in place.
Career Development:
- Complete directed training opportunities promoting management skills, technical skills, security, risk management and the banking industry.
- Attend other seminars and conferences
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Five to seven years of progressive experience in cash management, treasury services, or commercial banking.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong understanding of treasury products, deposit economics, and commercial client needs.

- Satisfactory skill set in the use of the following software applications: Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with Jack Henry and nCino applications a plus.
