ROLE SUMMARY:
The Barback will provide personalized and immaculate guest service and an elegant dining experience by anticipating and providing for all guest needs/requests. They will be responsible for making sure the bar is fully stocked, cutting garnishes, and clearing away and washing all glassware. We ask for a willingness to receive and offer direction, be solutions oriented, and encourage a hospitality driven environment. Open availability is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist bartenders in preparing and serving drinks.
- Ensure that all supplies are stocked and readily available.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including wiping down counters and tables, cleaning glassware and utensils.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the bar area.
- Provide excellent customer service to guests.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A Valid CA Certified Food Handlers card and valid Responsible Beverage Service Training is required.
- Must be 21+ years of age.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Previous relevant experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurant is preferred.
- Must be able to stand during entire shift, often up to 8 hours with frequent bending, squatting, and lifting plates, boxes, and objects up to 30lbs.
- Must have excellent time management skills.
- Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be reliable, responsible, and trustworthy.
- Must have high energy, great communication skills, and be able to work as part of a team.
- Must have attention to detail and willingness to deliver exceptional customer service.
