About This Position

Petroleum Services Group, Inc. (PSG) is a Petroleum Service and Construction company with established accounts across Georgia and Florida. PSG is looking for a full time Petroleum System Compliance Technician to work out of our Waycross, GA office.

Petroleum System Compliance Technician Essential Functions:

  1. Report to Service Manager and Environmental Compliance Manager
  2. Conduct various Environmental Tests required by the GA EPD on UST systems
  3. Install various types of fuel equipment including leak detectors, tank probes, sensors, overfill devices, etc
  4. Assess and provide maintenance to the UST system when applicable
  5. Ensure a safe working environment (i.e. use of proper PPE)
  6. Complete Environmental Testing Reports accurately and submit to Environmental Compliance Manager on time
  7. Complete accurate time sheets weekly and submitted on time
  8. Maintain all equipment and trucks in a clean and good working order

Preferred experience:

  1. Current or Previous Estabrook’s Training/Certification is a plus
  2. Petroleum Construction preferred but not required
  3. Electrical and/or Maintenance background a plus
  4. Experience with Microsoft Excel and Adobe PDF is a plus

Job Type: Full-time hourly position (pay dependent on experience.) In addition to a competitive pay, we also offer: Medical/Dental/Vision/Supplemental Insurance, 401k + company match and paid vacation

  1. Must maintain a current, valid, unrestricted driver’s license with an insurable driving record and pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
  2. 40 Hour OSHA Hazwoper Training, 8 hour OSHA Supervisor Training a plus
  3. Certification and Training from Petroleum Equipment Manufacturer's a plus
  4. Valid Driver’s License and good driving record required
  5. Ability to lift 75-100 pounds
  6. Ability to stand, bend, crouch for periods of time
  7. Ability to work well with others
  8. Must be self-directed, needing little supervision.
  9. Must be detail oriented
  10. Must be able to reliably report to work on time, as scheduled.
  11. Must be responsible, dependable, and acceptable to change.
