Job Responsibilities: 

Search and examine public records todeterminea property’s status of title.Review documents affecting title to property, such as mortgages, deeds, probate records, trustagreementsetc.  Readand interpret real estate documents, legal proceedings,mapsand surveys.Communicate effectively with customers, lenders, peers, underwritingstaffand vendors.Make insurability decisions and translate title insurance guidelines.Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent,Prior CommercialTitleExamination experience. Minimum of 5 years in the title insurance business.Strong Metes and Bounds Mapping SkillsStrongUnderstanding of general title process, relateddocumentationand their effect upon titleHave experience withCountyGovernment websites,Titlepoint,Datatrace, Title Vision, DeedPlotterand others.Must have good research/ investigation skills and understand legal terms, be aware of new legal developments/legislationthat affect real property.Excellent verbal/written skills and attention to detail.Must be able to prioritize according to departmental guidelines, havea high levelof organization, ability to consistently meet deadlines,work with constantly changing prioritiesdemonstratestrong follow through, and to follow procedures/processes.Basic computer skills and ability to learn and use various softwareapplicationsOutlook, Word, Acrobat.Attention to detail combined with analytical and problem-solving skills
