Steel Mill Finishing Member II-Weekend-3 Days-SAW OPERATORS at Universal Stainless – North Jackson, Ohio

Finishing Crew Member II

Wage: $19.50 then $20.00 at end of probationary period (with .50 cent shift differential for night shift)

Day shift: 7am to 7pm or Night shift: 7pm to 7am 12-hour shifts - Steady days/nights

Tow motor and overhead crane experience required

Must be able to read a tape measurer

Must have reliable transportation

Prior steel mill or industrial furnace experience preferred

Duties

• Assisting operators with creating steel ingots from scratch
• Preparing raw materials for melting process
• Helping with pouring & molding process
• Organizing launders with overhead crane
• Moves materials via tow motor or remove overhead crane.

Tools/equipment used: including but not limited to, IR Thermometer, calipers, measuring stick, tape measure, hot chalk, paint markers, go/no-go tools, TC load material and tools, label printers, stacker crane, forklift, furnace controllers.

Schedule:

• 12-hour shift - Days or Nights - 3 days/nights on/4 days/nights off
• Friday, Saturday and Sunday OR Saturday, Sunday and Monday - Your choice

Education:

• High school Diploma or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Remote Crane: 1 year (Preferred)
• Forklift: 1 year (Preferred)
