MD² is seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to join our dynamic and growing team. You are an experienced accounting professional with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. With at least five (5) years of full-cycle accounting experience, you excel in a fast-paced environment, and your analytical mindset, attention to detail, and exceptional problem-solving skills set you apart. You are proactive, collaborative, and dedicated to delivering high-quality financial reporting and analysis.

MD² was founded in 1996 by two renowned Seattle-based physicians who sought to elevate the delivery of medicine to an unprecedented level. By dedicating their practice to just 50 families, they fundamentally shifted the paradigm of primary care. This shift went on to spark an entire industry that has come to be known as Concierge Healthcare. Key Responsibilities

  • As a Senior Accountant, you will take on more complex accounting tasks and have greater responsibilities, including:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decision-making.
  • General Ledger Management: Oversee and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage more complex AP/AR transactions, including the review and approval of entries made by junior accountants.
  • Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Compliance & Audit Support: Ensure compliance with all internal controls and external regulations. Assist in preparing for and responding to audits.
  • Tax Preparation: Coordinate with external tax advisors for the preparation of federal and state tax returns, including sales tax filings.
  • Special Projects: Lead and participate in special projects, including system implementations, process improvements, and financial analysis.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum five (5) years of progressive accounting experience, with at least two (2) years in a senior or supervisory role preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in NetSuite and the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with automated accounting systems is preferred.
  • Analytical Ability: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement changes to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Professionalism: Strong ethical standards and the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day, in-person
