SUMMARY OF DUTIESClinical Specialist IMasters' Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. Requires knowledge of an advanced type. Along with 1-4 years of clinically supervised progressive work experience inclusive of residency, internship, or practicum in the care or treatment of youth in a mental health or educational setting. Clinical Specialist IIMasters' Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. Requires knowledge of an advanced type. Along with 4+ years of clinically supervised progressive work experience inclusive of residency, internship, or practicum in the care or treatment of youth in a mental health or educational setting. Clinical Specialist IIIMasters' Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. Requires knowledge of an advanced type. Along with a Clinical License. Other (Specify): SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREDGood verbal and written skill in therapeutic assessment and treatment, interviewing, recording and letter writing. Also able to assess family dynamics, strengths and weaknesses.Ability to work with youth with challenging behaviors. - Coordinates all aspects of a youth’s intake including accepting and responding to referrals, ensuring all consents are signed and all required documents received. Provides assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions according to treatment plan. Utilizes a broad variety of culturally sensitive diagnostic and treatment modalities and techniques appropriately and selectively. Coordinates and implements the youth's treatment plan related to social and independent living skills. Provides family counseling as needed and works with family members to ensure successful transition to the next level of care.
- Master’s degree from a nationally accredited university as a national board-certified behavioral analyst, marriage and family therapist, mental health counselor, psychologist, social worker, school psychologist, or psychiatric nurse.
