Job Overview

Cleveland Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead high-profile commercial interiors projects from preconstruction through final delivery.

This role is responsible for overseeing large-scale drywall, interior framing, millwork, and carpentry projects while managing project teams, budgets, schedules, and client relationships. The Senior Project Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to Cleveland Constructions high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead commercial interiors construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout

  • Oversee scopes including drywall, interior framing, millwork, and carpentry

  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation

  • Lead and mentor project management teams and field personnel

  • Coordinate project efforts between architects, consultants, subcontractors, and clients

  • Conduct regular project coordination meetings and monitor overall progress

  • Identify potential design or construction conflicts and implement proactive solutions

  • Ensure projects meet quality standards, budget expectations, and schedule milestones

  • Enforce OSHA safety compliance and jobsite safety protocols

  • Manage project documentation, cost tracking, and reporting

  • Maintain strong communication with clients and key stakeholders

  • Travel to project sites throughout the Mid-Atlantic region as required

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of commercial construction project management experience preferred

  • Proven experience managing drywall, interior framing, or commercial interiors projects

  • Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

  • Strong leadership experience managing project teams and subcontractors

  • Solid understanding of commercial construction processes and building systems

  • Experience coordinating MEP systems within commercial projects

  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and jobsite safety procedures

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail

  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel based on project needs

  • Employment eligibility verification required (E-Verify compliant)

Technical & Computer Skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience using construction management and cost control software

  • Comfortable using tablets/iPads for field documentation

  • Familiarity with web-based project management and document control platforms

  • Strong general computer proficiency related to construction project management

Physical Demands & Work Conditions
  • Ability to travel to active commercial construction sites

  • Comfortable working in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and wind

  • Ability to navigate stairs, scaffolding, ladders, and elevation changes

  • Capable of standing, walking, kneeling, and moving throughout active jobsites

  • Ability to move or position materials up to 85 pounds when necessary
