About This Position

Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital - Haverhill/Bradford
Part-Time Days 6:00am - 2:30pm and every other weekend
Pay Rate: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL - Housekeeping (2-3 days/week)
  • Cleaning of assigned patient rooms and bathrooms according to Infection Control standards.
  • Cleaning of nurses stations, public bathrooms, lounges, nourishment areas and storage closets, windows, etc.
  • Cleaning of all patient care areas, hallways, lobby and office spaces.
  • Must be able to perform varied cleaning projects that will be assigned by their immediate supervisor.
  • Will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment within the department .
  • Perform floor care duties such as dry mopping, wet mopping, buffing and vacuuming.
  • Trash removal including use of trash compactor.
  • Code Red Response Team member including retrieval of fire extinguisher.
ESSENTIAL - Laundry (1 day/week)
  • Collection of soiled linens from nursing units
  • Wash, sanitize and dry linens using proper body mechanics
  • Properly operates washer and dryer machines
  • Abides by infection control policy and procedures
  • Sorts clean linen, folds, and distributes appropriately
  • Sanitize and maintain cleanliness of machines
PREREQUISITES:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Previous laundry and housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Work involves bending, walking, lifting, and using cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Must posses attention to detail
  • Must be reliable and value team approach
