About This Position

We are looking for a Salesforce Technical Architect with a strong Tableau experience to support work at Ft. Meade.
  • Role: Analytics - Technical Architect (open to a Technical Architect with back-end Tableau Server experience)
  • This position requires a TS/SCI clearance + Full Scope Poly (FSP) clearance fully adjudicated prior to start
  • Resource must be able to deploy Tableau Server at an Enterprise level.

Skills:
  • Advanced RHEL 8/9 Troubleshooting
  • Deep Tableau Server - Log Review
  • ABAC Security Model (Entitlements)
  • SAP Hana Semantic Data Model Familiarity (nice-to-have)
  • Soft Skills - ability to navigate a challenging environment
  • Install and Configure Environment: Design and implement the Tableau server architecture to perform and scale.
  • Conduct business workshops to define and document needs
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of technical environment
  • Engage network, user identity management, information security, Cloud management, other teams as needed
  • Install and configure TSM and Tableau Server as per Pre-Work document
  • Work with Site/Server administrators to define Site and Project structures (permissions) and other configuration tasks as needed
  • Develop and deliver Basic Server Administration tasks and responsibilities and other user-focused training as defined in the Workshop
  • Server Upgrade: Upgrade Tableau Server to take advantage of new features, reintegrated with the environment, secure, performant, and stable.
  • Assist the Customer with preparation and upgrade execution of their Tableau Server environments' more recent stable release.
  • Execute the Upgrade plan as developed in the planning stage, in lower level environments, test results, help resolve outstanding issues and execute in the Production environment.
  • Server Performance Testing: Optimize the performance of the Tableau Server environment to meet fluctuations in resource demand.
  • Help configure Tableau server for automated testing for upgrades/configuration changes/capacity assessment and planning
  • Present high-level findings to executive team
  • Server Architecture Review: Optimize the Tableau Server environment for performance, resiliency, governance, and security.
  • Build Custom usage dashboards to analyze server response times, concurrency and extracts utilization
  • Recommend configuration changes for better server utilization and performance improvements
  • Analyze CPU and Memory utilization on all the nodes
  • Perform load test if necessary leveraging TabJolt
  • Conduct knowledge transfer to the team on performance troubleshooting assumptions
