MAINTENANCE PURCHASING CLERK at Apache Mills – Calhoun, Georgia

The position requires (this is not a complete job description):

using proficiently Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systemsFluke X5 mobile experience (not required)purchasing and procurement activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentmanaging inventory and supply chain for multiple locationsnegotiating contracts for optimal price and termsworking safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentmeeting or exceeding company quality standardsmaintaining regular and predictable attendancecomplying with company processes and proceduresfollowing verbal and written instructionsstanding, walking, lifting, bending, stooping, climbing ladders and reaching while handling material or productsworking cooperatively, courteously, and respectfully with all team members, vendors, and visitorsperforming job duties in variable weather conditions (including hot weather)ensuring good housekeeping of all areas on company premisessuccessfully completing drug and background screenings

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

reading, comprehending, and executing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Standard Operating Conditions (SOCs), and safety procedures including LOTOanticipating material usage based on order requirements, history, and forecastordering materials according to customer orders and planned stock levelsentering and maintaining purchase orders in the systemexecuting methods, strategies, and procedures for improving the purchasing and procurement activities to meet or exceed objectives for safety, quality, service and costevaluating vendor relations to ensure solid contracts, optimal price, and adequate timelines while maintaining a database, purchasing records, and related documentationassessing all procured items to ensure alignment with quality standards and specificationsparticipating in root cause and corrective action investigationsauditing incoming raw material quality to ensure incoming materials meet specificationsanalyzing cost and service level requirementsmaintaining chemical inventory accuracy through system and physical counting of on hand materialsworking directly with Maintenance personnel to address quality and supply related issues; make decisions that conform to standards or take appropriate action to improve the issue.
