Function of Position:
The Part-time Clerk reports to the Financial Specialist overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams. This position will provide support with the maintenance and billing of third-party and student accounts utilizing the College's system of record as well as assist with the processing of accounts payable invoices. The work involves contacting students, vendors and sponsoring agencies or other community members regarding account balances and past due balances owed to the College. This employee will be expected to perform complex clerical tasks including account reconciliations. The work will involve data entry and manipulation is an integral part of this position's responsibilities.
Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepares, formats, and maintains material such as correspondence and reports;
- Prepares and maintains alphabetical, numerical, or other files;
- Sorts, distributes, and files;
- Obtains and provides information to other departments, external agencies and vendors;
- Performs complex electronic searches for information in documents, records, and files;
- Compiles, prepares, and inputs a variety of data;
- Enters and extracts data and information from a database;
- Filing, scanning and other clerical duties;
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, or other languages, proficiently
Additional Information:
Job Type: Temporary, Part-time
Hours: Approximately 24 hours per week. Hours/days may vary depending on department need
Pay Rate: $20 per hour.
