At Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic, safe, reliable, and cost‑effective access to medications is essential to the care we provide. The Pharmacy Inventory and Purchasing Coordinator plays a critical role in making that possible. As the central link between pharmacy operations, wholesalers, vendors, and internal teams, this position ensures our clinics have the medications and supplies they need, maintains compliance with complex regulatory requirements, supports 340B integrity, and helps drive cost‑savings across the organization.

Position Highlights:

  • 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)

  • $26.75-$32.76/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates

What You’ll Do

As the Pharmacy Inventory and Purchasing Coordinator, you support the behind‑the‑scenes work that keeps our clinics and pharmacies fully stocked, compliant, and ready to deliver high‑quality care. You:

  • Serve as the primary contact with pharmaceutical wholesalers and manage purchasing contracts, pricing updates, and account setups

  • Process medication and vaccine orders for clinics and dental offices, and monitor shortages, recalls, and product returns

  • Maintain accurate inventory across sites, including 340B compliance, reverse distribution, floor stock updates, and environmental monitoring

  • Support financial processes by reconciling accounts, updating pricing files, and identifying cost‑saving opportunities

  • Collaborate with pharmacy managers, accounting, IT, and compliance teams to ensure smooth workflows, accurate medication data, and audit readiness

  • Participate in committees focused on medication management, safety, and 340B program oversight

Qualifications:

  • Education

    • Associate’s degree in business, healthcare, or pharmacy‑related field

    • OR High school diploma/GED plus two additional years of experience

  • Experience

    • 2 years of related experience in inventory management, supply chain, fulfillment, or quality assurance

    • OR 3 years of Pharmacy Technician experience in lieu of the above

    • Experience with pharmacy purchasing, 340B, or inventory systems is highly valued

  • Licensing

    • Washington State Pharmacy Technician license

    • Valid Driver’s License and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage

  • Skills

    • Strong knowledge of pharmacy products and supply chain processes

    • Proficiency with inventory tools, spreadsheets, EPIC, and Oracle

    • Ability to analyze trends, manage vendor relationships, and identify cost‑saving opportunities

    • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills

    • Understanding of pharmacy laws, 340B compliance, and medication safety practices
