Position Summary
The IT Project Manager leads the planning, execution, and delivery of IT-related projects for internal teams and external Famous Supply customers. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget where applicable, and aligned with business objectives. The IT Project Manager serves as the primary point of coordination across stakeholders, driving communication, accountability, and successful project outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
Lead cross-functional business and technical teams to execute project plans and deliver defined outcomes.
Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with business goals.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; proactively resolve issues and escalate when necessary.
Manage project schedules, dependencies, resources, and budgets to ensure successful delivery.
Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and stakeholder communications.
Track and report on project performance, including progress, risks, and key metrics.
Project Ownership
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document business and functional requirements.
Ensure technical requirements are clearly documented and translated into actionable work items (e.g., tickets, user stories)
Lead teams through all phases of the project lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and training.
Oversee quality assurance processes and ensure deliverables meet defined success criteria.
Monitor and manage project risks, issues, and action items through resolution.
Drive change management efforts to support successful adoption of project outcomes.
Ensure projects meet or exceed customer expectations and business requirements.
Project Governance & Process
Lead resource planning and allocation across functional teams.
Manage project communication plans, ensuring transparency and alignment with stakeholders.
Oversee change control processes and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
Manage escalation processes for project risks and issues.
Facilitate project closure activities, including documentation and post-implementation review.
Continuously identify and implement process improvements within the project management methodology.
Tools & Technology
Utilize project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, and Visio to manage timelines, dependencies, and resources.
Leverage collaboration and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) to track and manage project work.
Required Experience & Skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience managing medium-to-large IT projects.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools (Microsoft Excel, Visio)
Experience with ticketing or work management systems (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
Ability to document business processes and build process workflow diagrams.
Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate risks and develop mitigation strategies.
