Job Description

Description:

The Electronics Technician position requires the ability to assemble, align, calibrate, and troubleshoot precision electrical and mechanical assemblies used in high-performance optical encoder systems. Technicians must be able to follow detailed written work instructions, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, test procedures, and follow quality requirements to build and verify precision hardware. The role requires hands-on assembly of small electromechanical components, bearing assemblies, handling delicate optical and electronic assemblies, and performing mechanical alignment of encoder components. Candidates must be comfortable troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical issues in precision assemblies. This may include identifying improper mechanical alignment, poor solder joints, incorrect component values, signal degradation, noise, improper phasing, or output signals outside specification. Technicians will use a range of electronic and mechanical test equipment, including digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, vibration systems, power supplies, microscopes, hand tools, calipers, precision measuring equipment, and other production or laboratory equipment as required.

Technicians may be asked to perform other duties as required including performing work in an ISO 8 clean room environment. The responsibilities of the position are subject to change based on production and business needs.
