Position Title: Bar Buena Bartender

The Concept:

Bar Buena, Goode Company’s newest concept, is a hidden agave sanctuary adjacent to Kitchen and Cantina River Oaks that offers an intimate retreat for exceptional cocktails and authentic Mexican spirits. Rooted in the artistry of tequila and mezcal-making, we take pride in our 100% additive-free agave spirit program, serving as true ambassadors of Mexico’s rich traditions.

Position:

Bar Buena is looking for bartenders with deep expertise in agave spirits, cocktails, and wine to lead our beverage program alongside the Bar Supervisor and Beverage Director. This role demands a refined palate, a passion for education, and a commitment to curating unforgettable experiences in a sophisticated, team-driven atmosphere. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (not limited to):

  • Daily bar setup, stock maintenance, and ensuring the team's readiness for successful service.
  • Assist in managing the day-to-day needs of the beverage program
  • Assist with bar prep (e.g. making syrups, batching cocktails, etc.).
  • Responsible for serving bar guests and providing a memorable dining experience.
  • Efficiently craft consistent, well-made cocktails
  • Inventory Management and Ordering
  • Maintain proper glassware inventory and breakage logs
  • Assist with inventory audits when inconsistencies occur
  • Help assist with cocktail, spirits, and beer training for new and existing staff, including engaging classes and tastings
  • Consistently grow, learn, and expand knowledge base.

Qualifications:

  • 4 years of high-volume bartending experience in fine dining, upscale lounge, or cocktail bar settings.
  • Ability to demonstrate an extensive knowledge of food and beverages.
  • Previous involvement in a sophisticated craft cocktail program.
  • Availability: Available for late night service, one weekly day shift, and an extra day for R&D and prep.
  • Proficient communication with all business departments, guests, and vendors, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time & lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Maintain a current Food Handler's Certification & TABC Certification
