Responsibilities

The Specialist, Yield Management, works directly under the Supervisor, Accounts Payable, to achieve yield optimization for EFW’s Clients. Assist with monitoring the coordination of all the entities involved in a supply chain and communicate clearly with clients and vendors to maximize EFW’s profitability.

  • Assist the Coordinator with the coordination and integration of numerous activities and functions into an overall efficient and effective support effort.
  • Assist the Coordinator with the overall evaluation of cargo profitability.
  • Provide guidance to pricing on rate/yield issues.
  • Handle any pricing issues as they arise and bring to the attention of the Coordinator or Supervisor when necessary.
  • Negotiate the lowest possible rates while ensuring all of our service and regulatory requirements are met. Work with the Coordinator to develop and utilize negotiation strategies to include improving vendor qualifications and continues improvement process.
  • Disseminate pricing changes to operations in a timely manner and ensure that changes to pricing are received in a timely manner from Service providers according to contracted agreement.
  • Must comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.
  • Regular attendance is required.

SUPERVISION

Position functions with supervision and has no direct reports.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 1-3 years of experience. Associate’s or Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience in the transportation industry preferred. Experience with data analytics preferred. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
