About This Position
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the financial health of our organization. Working closely with our Controller, you will oversee general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all internal accounting functions. You’ll also help optimize financial processes, analyze key financial data, and support strategic decision-making. What you will do:
- Perform general accounting duties for the organization including entering transactions and reconciling general ledger, credit card, and cash accounts.
- Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual Close process.
- Monitor firm’s AR and serve as liaison with individual unit office managers to ensure timely collection
- Prepare and file tax forms, business registrations, and business licensing with state and local government agencies.
- Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
What we look for:
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2 years professional accounting experience including transactional work and reconciliations.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, strong analytical skills.
- Proficient with NetSuite accounting software, and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Familiarity with Bill.com and Divvy expense management software a major plus
- Desire to learn and understand GAAP accounting
- Proactive problem solving and ability to self-manage projects.
