About This Position
Position Overview
The Pricing Analyst supports the Sales Data & Analytics team by assisting with pricing analysis, financial modeling, and reporting to help drive informed pricing decisions and profitable growth. This role is well suited for an early‑career professional with strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and an interest in pricing strategy, sales analytics, and data‑driven decision making.
The Pricing Analyst works closely with senior analysts, sales leadership, and cross‑functional partners to support pricing initiatives, competitive bids, and ongoing business analysis.
Essential Job Functions- Assist with gross margin and pricing analyses for local, enterprise, and complex RFPs or competitive bid projects
- Support pricing and cost modeling to evaluate the impact of pricing or resource cost changes on revenue and profitability
- Use historical data to help forecast sales trends and support future growth analysis
- Research market pricing data and help maintain current pricing and resource pay rate libraries
- Support the development, testing, and maintenance of pricing tools and templates
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiencies within pricing workflows
- Collaborate with sales and analytics teams to support pricing strategies for new and existing offerings
- Assist with pricing‑related projects supporting business growth initiatives, including M&A integration support
- Track and assist with reporting on key sales and pricing performance metrics
- Maintain regional sales target files and support updates and adjustments as needed
- Perform ad‑hoc analysis and other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales Data & Analytics or department leadership
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree coursework in Business, Finance, Analytics, Economics, or a related field preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in an analytical, pricing, finance, sales support, or data‑focused role (internships considered)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability and willingness to learn new tools, systems, and databases
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze data and present clear findings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
