Purchasing Agent at Expert Shutter Services – Port Saint Lucie, Florida

This role spends time away from the office desk. Whoever accepts the position must be willing to use a forklift. Receiving and tracking inventory will play a large factor for this role. The following is a list of responsibilities and expectations for this role (this list is not comprehensive).

Purchasing

Create purchase orders using NetSuiteUpdate vendor lists to keep them current, establish relationships with our suppliersTrack and compare prices for often used items, searching comp prices weeklyNegotiate the best pricing possibleLearn all products and materials we useOrder necessary materials to complete future orders, ensuring we never run out of product or order in excessBe experience with computers and especially skilled with Excel and NetSuite

Receiving and Inventory control

Verify all received materialsBe involved with year end inventory countsLook for alternate sources for products and competitive pricingVerify that all materials are received correctly in NetSuite and all POs are executed properlyMust be able to competently use a forklift and a CombiliftMay need to drive to local business for suppliesDirectly work with the Inventory Manager to verify inventory levels, spot checking weekly.

Supply Room

Maintain tools and supplies for installation and repair departmentsDistribute tools and supplies to personnelUse requisition forms for all departmentsStandardize the tool room, both in natural flow and standardize processesKeep the tool room organized and clean

Shipping Department

Organize pickups and shipments, both foreign and domesticWork with the Shipping Supervisor to ensure accurate deliveries

Qualified Applicants Must:

Have 3 years or more of Purchasing experienceHave a clean and valid Florida Driver's licenseBe organized in all aspects of the positionBe willing to unload trucks (forklift) and organize the stockyardHave a POSITIVE ATTITUDE and be able to follow directions/instructionsBe able to use critical thinking to solve problemsBe comfortable with computers and softwareBe able to skillfully drive a forkliftBe safety minded
