Aqua Fitness Instructor at Saratoga Regional YMCA – Saratoga Springs, New York

Part-time position

Pay: $20.00-$23.00/hour

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Saratoga Regional YMCA is hiring for Aqua Fitness Instructors and we are excited to have you join our team! The Aquatic Fitness Instructor leads group classes that range in variety and participant levels, including counting, cueing, and choreography, pre-planning and instructing workouts. Promotes knowledge of proper fitness components including warm-up, aerobic exercise, resistance, flexibility and cool down. The Aquatic Fitness Instructor at SRYMCA maintains a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals and provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swim classes.

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Prior group fitness instruction experiences preferred; minimum1 year prior aqua after therapy experience required
• One or more group fitness certification(s)/license(s), preferred, either land or water; aquatic therapy certification required.
• Current CPR PRO & First Aid certifications preferred.
