About This Position

Description:

Nexus Family Healing is looking to hire a School Social Worker Supervisor to join our outstanding team in Onarga, IL and Manteno, IL!

Nexus Family Healing at Onarga is located approximately 30 miles south of Kankakee and 45 miles north of Champaign-Urbana, just a few miles off of I-57 on a historic site in Onarga, Illinois. This location provides boys ages 10 to 20 years old a structured, homelike environment where they can safely address a variety of unhealthy behaviors and mental health issues as well as childhood trauma.

Nexus Family Healing at Indian Oaks is located approximately 50 miles south of Chicago, in the small, rural community of Manteno, Illinois. Our campus features cozy cottages with private bedrooms that provide safety and comfort for youth in residence.

Pay and Schedule:

  • Full-time on-site opportunity
  • Locations: Split between 110 North Locust, Onarga, IL 60955 and 101 N. Bramble Street Manteno, IL 60950
  • Starting at $70,000 - 80,000 per year!

Key Responsibilities

Student Assessment & Treatment

  • Conduct student assessments and deliver services aligned with IEPs.
  • Provide documentation on time and implement treatment plans to support student goals.
  • Deliver skill-building and therapeutic interventions to promote healthy educational routines.

Trauma-Informed Support

  • Create a safe, trauma-responsive environment and assist in crisis situations.
  • Collaborate with team members, advocate for student needs, and maintain strong professional relationships.

Crisis Intervention

  • Provide crisis intervention to ensure safety and well-being.
  • Apply trauma-informed practices, share resources with students and families, and support resilience-building.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and meet productivity standards.

Service Delivery & Operations

  • Prepare reports, participate in meetings, and engage in supervision to support best practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality, adapt to changing student needs, and manage crisis situations with sound judgment.
  • Represent the organization professionally and uphold its mission and values.

Staff Leadership & Support

  • Provide daily guidance and oversight to assigned staff.
  • Support team training, hiring processes, and staff development.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and coordinate staff activities and schedules.
  • Communicate consistently with professionalism, empathy, and respect.
Requirements:

Required Education and Licensure:

  • Master’s degree in School Social Work.
  • Must be a licensed certified social worker (LGSW, LICSW, LISW or if currently unlicensed and clinical licensure is required in your state. o Must be on track to complete licensure for a specific, related discipline. o And/or currently holds a provisional/intermediary license for a specific track
  • Maintains and holds a valid Professional Educator Licensure.
  • Minimum of one year experience of school-based service and supervisor of staff.
  • Valid driver’s license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Home Office driving requirements.
