Certified Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician at Holzer Health System – Jackson, Ohio

Works under the supervision of the Business Manager, Pharmacist Manager and Director of Pharmacy. Greets and waits on general public personally or by phone. Assists pharmacist in preparation of medications for dispensing. Enters and maintains data for patient profiles. Screens medication preparation for legal and corporate compliance, maintaining audit readiness. Trains pharmacist technicians.

Education, Work Experience and Licensure:

· High school diploma or equivalent, plus a combination of training and work experience which indicate possession of the skills, knowledge, and abilities listed in this job description. Examples of acceptable training or work experience include applicable experiences in similar position with positive references. Completion of a technician training course preferred, but not required.

· Certification: Taken and passed a pharmacy technician certification exam approved by the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.

· Supervises: Technician trainees.
