Summary:

Provides day to day technical, operational and administrative support to Infusion Team, resolving and addressing issues that arise.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years’ medical office experience
  • MS Office
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience with electronic billing

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Performs daily administrative duties of the office including greeting/scheduling patients, chart maintenance, filing, purchasing office supplies, taking messages, data entry into Infusion software management program, answering multi line phones and managing mail. Provide administrative support to leadership as needed.
  2. Ensures that appropriate staffing levels are maintained. Coordinates care with provider offices, lab and cancer center.
  3. Coordinates daily work of team members to ensure policy and procedure and regulatory agency compliance, smooth technical operations and customer satisfaction. Creates and maintains tracking lists to guide patient care.
  4. Responsible for audit of all charts to ensure current and active authorization for reimbursement. Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding. Oversees billing to ensure accurate and timely input of all charges.
  5. Coordinates the purchasing and maintenance of equipment, supplies and services required by the practice and the selection of vendors as requested by leadership. Responds to requests for upkeep and maintenance of practice facilities.
  6. Assist leadership in exploring new business opportunities, program development and marketing of services. Strategizes with leadership about improvement opportunities and solutions.
  7. Responds to administrative inquiries concerning operational issues. Creates a variety of ad hoc operational and strategic reports.
  8. Participates in quality improvement activities.
  9. Participates in departmental and organizational committees as appropriate.
