Med Tech Awake Overnight in Austin, Texas at Honey's House Assisted Living
Job Description
10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
The house is quiet overnight, but the work still matters.
About Honey’s HouseHoney’s House is a licensed assisted living home in Austin, Texas. We care for 22 residents in a warm, highly personal environment with a private chef, involved families, and a team that knows every resident by name, routine, and what helps them feel safe. This is not a large institutional setting. It is a real home environment, and every detail matters.
About the ShiftMost residents are sleeping during the night. The overnight shift has a different rhythm: calm resident monitoring, immediate response when someone needs help, and steady behind-the-scenes work that helps the home start the next day clean, organized, and ready. You’ll receive a full handoff from the evening team and help oversee the home overnight.
This is an awake shift. You must remain fully awake, alert, and immediately available for the entire shift. Resident care and safety always come first; household tasks are completed between resident checks and needs.
Training & GrowthBefore assuming care responsibilities, you’ll complete required orientation and dementia-specific training. During your first days of employment, you’ll receive structured, supervised training covering activities of daily living, resident safety, emergency and evacuation procedures, behavior management, de-escalation, fall prevention, documentation, and Honey’s House care standards. Ongoing annual in-service education is required.
We also look for caregivers who are open to additional medication-related training as a potential part of their professional development. Any medication duties depend on applicable training, qualification, supervision, and authorization requirements.
Pay, Paid Time Off & BonusesHourly pay: $20/hr
- An initial probationary/training pay period applies; its length and hourly rate will be communicated before employment begins. The probation period is 90 days.
Eligible team members accrue paid time off (PTO) under Honey’s House policy. 2 weeks for the first 2 years of employment; 3 weeks for 3+ years of employment
Bonus opportunities are available under Honey’s House bonus program for time and attendance.
