Role: High Angle Rescue Technician
Responsibilities:
- Perform high angle rescue stand-by
- Facilitate rescues in the event of an incident involving personnel who are working at heights, high angles, or in confined spaces.
- Develop site-specific rescue plans for high-angle rescue.
- Perform risk assessments, preparing rescue equipment, and planning practical and effective solutions towards safe work practices.
- Perform inspections on rescue equipment (according to manufacturers’ instructions) to ensure all equipment is ready to use.
- Perform on-site safety watch, confined space entry watch and atmospheric testing, spark/fire watch, and gas detection, as required.
- Provide support to ensure that all personnel on-site work in a safe manner and comply with company and regulatory/legislative requirements for Occupational Health & Safety
- Follow and be an advocate for all rules, policies and procedures as per the client’s health and safety program, Kinetic Safety’s HSE program, and all other applicable legislation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1+ years experience in high-angle rescue operations within the oil & gas industry.
- Must hold the following valid certifications: High Angle Rescue, Standard First Aid, Fall Protection, Confined Space Rescue, Confined Space Entry & Monitor, H2S Alive, and Fire Watch.
- Excellent physical condition and the ability to perform strenuous activities in various environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess situations and execute effective rescue plans.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and provide clear instructions during rescue operations.
