POSITION SUMMARY:
The Magnet Program Manager (MPM) is responsible for recommending and supporting the stands of nursing practice throughout the Nursing Division, reporting to the Director of Emergency Services/Magnet Program. The Magnet Program Manager supports the Magnet Program Director with system –wide responsibility for coordinating all aspects of the ANCC Magnet application and redesignation process. The MPM will support the philosophy and mission of the health system, while supporting all service areas in their role to maintain the Culture of Excellence as a Magnet Organization.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
RN licensure in Illinois, Nurse Administration certification when eligible.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Leadership experience serving as a role model for professional nursing. Ability to engage, energize, and innovate staff. Verbal and written skills required. Interpersonal skills necessary to build team work and organization the efforts of group of staff. Magnet program experience.
