Physical Therapy Tech in North Kansas City, Missouri at North Kansas City Hospital

SUMMARY: SUMMARY: Under the direction of the department director and the clinical supervisors, assists with providing quality therapy services. Rehab Tech role to work in our Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy Department at North Kansas City Hospital. Role requires ability to physically assist with patient care including transfers, stabilization, wheelchair and safety guarding as indicated with direct supervision of a therapist. Tech will be cross trained in these roles. In addition, supports teams to deliver equipment, make up orders and charts, answer phones, schedule patients, order and stock supplies and assist with dept cleaning and maintenance of therapy equipment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, is able to multi-task and who might be considering a role in therapy. All training is provided on the job. Schedule will be Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. No weekends or holidays required.

EXPERIENCE: Must be at least 16 years of age and completed 10th Grade. Prefer familiarity with Physical Therapy Department setting.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Ability to understand oral and written instructions. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

LICENSE/CERT: Required: CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
