PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT at CalvertHealth – Prince Frederick, Maryland

Responsible for providing direct patient care in acute care, sub-acute and/or outpatient settings. Efficiently deliver comprehensive physical therapy services to a diverse population his/her practice setting(s). Completes all required documentation, assists in scheduling and attends interdisciplinary rounds/committee meetings as assigned.

Must possess a degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.

Must possess a current license from the Maryland Board of Physical Therapy.

Must demonstrate competence to provide physical rehabilitation services by reason of education, training and experience.

Required to lift and/or move more than 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions that drive an appropriate plan of care. CPR required within 30 days of hire. All hospital and department mandatories completed within 30 days of hire.R

Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
