About the role
The Financial Analyst at Alpine IQ plays a critical role in supporting the financial health and growth of our rapidly scaling business. This position aims to provide accurate financial insights and data-driven recommendations to key stakeholders, including the executive team and sales management, to inform strategic decisions and optimize business performance. This role will be expected to support company and department level budgeting and forecasting, allowing for efficient resource allocation and preparation for various financial scenarios. In addition, working with stakeholder groups the financial analyst will ensure monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) such as customer acquisition costs, churn rates, and monthly recurring revenue, providing actionable insights to improve business performance and profitability. Their support to the executive team through clear, concise reports aids in informed decision-making on market entries, product launches, and operational optimizations.
What you'll do
Financial Analysis and Reporting: Working cross functionally with key stakeholders, conduct comprehensive financial analysis and create detailed reports on the company's financial status. This includes analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and preparing forecasts.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts. Provide reporting on financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis highlighting for leadership any red and/or amber financial metrics.
Data Management: Collect, organize, and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness. Utilize advanced financial modeling techniques to support decision-making processes.
Data Integrity: Partner with Data Analyst on the creations of financial dashboards and identification of inaccurate financial inputs.
Strategic Support: Provide financial insights and support to the executive and sales management teams. This includes evaluating potential business opportunities, preparing business cases, and conducting scenario analyses.
KPI Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue growth, customer acquisition costs, and churn rates. Provide actionable insights to improve financial outcomes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a SaaS or technology company. Experience in FP&A roles is highly desirable.
- Skills: Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial software. Familiarity with SaaS metrics and KPIs is essential.
- Characteristics: Strong attention to detail, high level of integrity, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
