This role is a high-impact leadership opportunity at the intersection of finance systems, enterprise architecture, and large-scale digital transformation. You will define and execute the long-term evolution of core ERP and finance systems, shaping how financial operations, data flows, and automation are designed across a global, mission-driven organization. Acting as both strategist and hands-on transformation leader, you will drive modernization of finance workflows, improve data integrity, and enable advanced analytics and AI-driven automation. The role requires strong cross-functional influence, as you will collaborate with senior stakeholders across IT, finance, security, HR, and fundraising to align systems strategy with organizational goals. You will also oversee ERP governance, ensure compliance and audit readiness, and optimize system performance and cost efficiency. In addition, you will lead a small team while managing complex, multi-system transformation initiatives in a highly distributed and collaborative environment.
- Define and evolve the enterprise finance systems strategy, ensuring alignment with long-term organizational goals and operational efficiency.
- Develop and own a multi-year ERP and finance transformation roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on business impact, feasibility, and resource optimization.
- Lead end-to-end transformation of finance workflows, including automation, analytics, and AI-driven process improvements.
- Act as finance systems product owner, driving continuous improvement, reducing manual processes, and enhancing data accuracy and audit readiness.
- Oversee ERP architecture governance, ensuring system integrity, scalability, and minimal disruption to business-critical operations.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders across IT, HR, fundraising, and security to define system policies, controls, and compliance frameworks.
- Lead cross-functional transformation programs as both strategist and execution owner, ensuring successful delivery of complex initiatives.
- Define adoption, performance, and success metrics for finance systems and transformation initiatives.
- Manage ERP budgets and drive cost optimization across systems and tools.
- Lead and mentor a small ERP systems team, ensuring delivery excellence, alignment, and professional growth.
- 10+ years of experience in ERP systems, finance transformation, and enterprise systems leadership.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and US GAAP (Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, etc.).
- Proven experience leading large-scale digital or ERP transformation programs in complex, global environments.
- Strong expertise in ERP platforms and finance systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, Coupa, Navan or similar).
- Experience designing cloud-based enterprise architectures, integrations, and data flows across SaaS systems.
- Knowledge of integration technologies and patterns (REST, SOAP, APIs, webhooks, JSON/XML).
- Experience with data pipelines, data warehouses, and finance data consolidation strategies.
- Strong understanding of audit, compliance, and internal control frameworks.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly communication.
- Experience working in agile and waterfall delivery environments.
