Senior International Sales Manager

This is a high-impact global commercial role focused on driving international growth across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America within the medical device and orthopedic space. In this position, you will be responsible for expanding market presence, strengthening distributor partnerships, and delivering on ambitious revenue targets across multiple regions. You will play a key role in shaping international sales strategy while working closely with clinical stakeholders, surgeons, and distribution partners. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on commercial execution, requiring strong market insight and the ability to operate across diverse healthcare environments. You will also support product adoption through training, clinical education, and on-the-ground engagement with key users. Accountabilities:
  • Drive international sales growth across assigned regions (EU, APAC, LATAM) by managing distributor networks and expanding product adoption across spine and orthopedic indications.
  • Develop and execute annual international sales plans aligned with broader business objectives and growth strategies.
  • Forecast sales performance, track monthly results, and ensure consistent achievement of revenue and unit targets.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, referrals, networking, and direct outreach.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, key opinion leaders, distributors, and approved agents across multiple markets.
  • Support clinical education by responding to surgical and product-related inquiries, including guidance on biologics and bone graft applications.
  • Provide in-field support including case coverage, product in-servicing, and distributor training to ensure successful product utilization.
  • Lead onboarding and training programs for new sales agents and distributor representatives.
  • Troubleshoot commercial and operational challenges, ensuring timely and effective resolution across markets.
Requirements:
  • 5–10+ years of experience in medical device sales, ideally within spine, orthopedics, or related surgical fields.
  • Strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and managing international distributor networks.
  • Solid understanding of global healthcare systems, regulatory environments, and medical device commercialization.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to operate effectively across multiple time zones and manage international travel (up to 30%).
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities in a fast-paced global environment.
  • Comfortable interacting with surgeons, clinical professionals, distributors, and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field is preferred.
