Director, ERP Solutions Responsibilities: The Director, ERP Solutions is a strategic leader and hands-on problem solver with deep experience in enterprise resource planning platforms. This role is responsible for the overall health, availability, and continuous improvement of the company’s ERP ecosystem, ensuring ERP solutions reliably support business operations, growth, and transformation initiatives. The Director will partner closely with business leaders, IT peers, and third-party vendors to deliver stable, secure, and scalable ERP capabilities aligned with enterprise objectives.

Director, ERP Solutions Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership, direction, and governance for the ERP application landscape, including operations, enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and long-term roadmap planning.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and stability of mission-critical ERP systems supporting finance, supply chain, manufacturing, distribution, and related business functions.
  • Define and execute ERP strategy in alignment with enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements, and business transformation priorities.
  • Serve as the voice of the internal customer for ERP solutions by actively engaging business stakeholders to understand needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement; conduct periodic on-site visits to branches and operations to gather firsthand feedback, build relationships, and ensure ERP capabilities evolve to effectively support real-world business processes.
  • Oversee day-to-day ERP operations, including system monitoring, incident management, problem resolution, change management, and release coordination.
  • Lead and develop ERP functional and technical teams, including internal staff and external partners, fostering accountability, skill growth, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and improved data quality using ERP capabilities.
  • Manage relationships with ERP vendors and system integrators, including contract oversight, support agreements, and delivery performance.
  • Oversee ERP security, controls, and compliance activities, working closely with audit and cybersecurity teams to ensure proper access, segregation of duties, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure effective data management practices, including master data governance, reporting integrity, and integration reliability across connected systems.
  • Lead ERP-related projects such as major upgrades, new module deployments, acquisitions, and large-scale process transformation initiatives.
  • Establish and track key performance metrics for ERP services and processes, conducting regular reviews and driving measurable improvements.


Director, ERP Solutions Skills, Knowledge, and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of experience working with enterprise ERP systems in progressively responsible roles, including leadership or management experience.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes such as finance, supply chain, manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior business and technology stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience managing third-party vendors and system integrators to deliver complex ERP solutions.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly in business terms to executive leadership.
  • High integrity with a results-driven mindset
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage through high-impact or time-sensitive situations.
  • Experience with ERP governance, change management, and operational support models
  • Experience in a global, multi-site manufacturing or supply chain organization preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
