As a data analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and evaluating data with a data driven mindset, to ensure smooth operations and company success.

Job Purpose

The Data Analyst’s position is to work with stakeholders to drive decision making, through providing accurate and reliable data and producing quality analysis and reports that are impactful to the business. They will also be responsible for building and maintaining complex backend processes for the Data Analytics Team. This role is crucial to ensure the growth and profitability of the business by empowering the decision maker / end user.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Generate and maintain company-wide reports
• Answer business questions using data analysis, statistics and reporting
• Deliver on regular and ad-hoc requests and data operation tasks
• Set up and maintain DB object and processes owned and utilized by the Data Analytics Team
• Conduct audits on, develop and execute tools to monitor quality of data as well as regular team processes
• Collaborate with team members to build and maintain analytics team processes documentation and technical writing
• Collaborate with and offer support to junior data analysts
• Examine and evaluate existing business systems and processes and offer suggestions to improve their efficiency and effectiveness

Qualifications;

1. Education level:
   1. Minimum of a Bachelor in an IT/Business related field
   2. Certifications in data skills, tools and coding languages is an added advantage
2. Experience:
   1. Minimum of 2 year of experience as a Data / BI Analyst
   2. Experience with version control – added advantage
   3. Experience with dbt - added advantage

Technical skills:

• SQL: advanced

• R and Python: basic
